Hello, my name is Abel Sanchez Jr., and I’m the founder and driving force behind *Eagle Pass Can Dance*, a company dedicated to empowering young dancers and performers through education, competition, and community. With over 23 years of experience in the dance and performance industry, my journey has taken me from the streets of New York City to stages across the globe. My passion for dance started early and led me to study at the renowned Broadway Dance Center in NYC, where I honed my craft for 11 years. From auditioning for major gigs like Britney Spears' Winter Ball to Broadway’s *Oklahoma* and *So You Think You Can Dance*, I’ve had the privilege of pushing my limits and growing as an artist. Now, with *Eagle Pass Can Dance*, I am proud to share my knowledge, experience, and love for dance with the next generation.
At *Eagle Pass Can Dance*, we host two transformative events: a dance competition and a dance convention. Our competition is all about celebrating the incredible talent of young dancers in our community, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills, build confidence, and gain exposure. But we don’t stop there—our dance convention offers dancers and coaches alike an opportunity to learn and grow, surrounded by a supportive and inspiring environment. Whether you're just beginning your dance journey or looking to refine your technique, our workshops and masterclasses are designed to help you unlock your full potential, both on and off the stage. We believe in fostering an inclusive, motivational space where everyone can come together to push boundaries and strive for excellence.
As a performer and choreographer, I've had the honor of working with some of the biggest names in the industry, from Latin Grammy winners like Olga Tañón and Gloria Trevi to showcasing my own work on *America’s Got Talent* with the Austin City Showgirls. Through it all, my mission has remained the same: to inspire, uplift, and share the transformative power of dance with as many people as possible. With *Eagle Pass Can Dance*, I’m excited to continue that mission by giving dancers and coaches the tools they need to succeed. This is more than just a business—it’s a movement.
